About
Hi, I'm Lucas.
I'm an engineering manager and architect based in Schwerin. I enjoy building cloud-agnostic systems (often around Kubernetes) and turning messy problems into simple, reliable platforms. This blog is where I share notes on infrastructure, software, and whatever I'm experimenting with.
My homelab and private software projects are my playground: a low-risk place to try new ideas, break things, and learn fast - then bring the best parts back into my day job.
What I'm into
- Homelabbing: self-hosting services, automating operations, and keeping infrastructure boring.
- Software: building tools and exploring new tech like local AI (Ollama, RAG).
- 3D printing: prototyping parts and solving real-world problems with hardware.
I care about open standards and vendor-neutral systems. I like designs that stay understandable, evolve over time, and keep working when things go wrong.
